Doing a 530

I just now got caught exploring the ‘interesting’ technical option before exhausting the straightforward ones.. I’m going to call that ‘doing a 530′.

I needed to print at a new location, so I downloaded the drivers, created the new printer (selecting a newly available driver), and printed. But it failed. So after verifying the printer was on and connected, and that the job made it to my print queue, I found that there was a driver file that was corrupt. But it was a postscript file, and postscript is a version of Forth, right? So that’s cool, I can probably edit it to make it work. But just before I started I thought I’d ask someone who printed recently, in case they already had the patched file…
Turns out theres more than one driver – creating the printer using the second driver makes everything ok.
